Christian fans of Arthurian legend will love this book, as I did. The story begins with Arthur's death, followed closely by Guenevere's -- but as Mordred slays the queen, he realizes that she has recently given birth! Merlin's son and Arthur's daughter are the two main characters in this beautiful Christian tale.

I've read many Arthurian tales, but Legend of the Emerald Rose goes beyond that to the next generation. Ms. Wichman's characters carried me along to their time and place. With them I experienced their inward struggles, their battles between light and darkness. I couldn't put it down and plan to read it again. I can't wait for her next book.

This time period holds a certain wonder for me. The story takes you back to that time and place once long ago... Characters are well developed and the story line will easily hold your interest. Faith in God is a key theme wound through out the story, very much in the heart of the story. A must read for fiction/fantasy lovers.

I enjoyed the story, and fell in love with the main charcaters. Before I even finished the book I was hoping there would be a sequel. The story unfolded beautifully and made the book difficult to put down. I especially enjoyed the manner faith was interwoven into the story line. It added another dimension to the story. I am patiently waiting for her next book.

Linda Wichman takes the Arthurian legends into the next generation and weaves a tale of duty to God and country with romance and intrigue. Capturing your interest within the first pages, The Legend of the Emerald Rose skillfully blends a fascinating story with godly principles in a manner that will clearly speak to any who read it. The author’s style is highly readable and I found it difficult to put down. Even if you don’t know a thing about King Arthur and Camelot, you will enjoy The Legend of the Emerald Rose.

Linda Wichman's book is the first Arthurian tale I've read since I was a teenager and I loved it. Her evocative use of language, powerful imagery, strong rich characters, and in particular her feel for the spirituality of those ancient times draw the reader deeply into her world. I can't wait to read more books from this author!

Linda Wichman weaves an intriguing tale of romantic fantasy about Rayn, the daughter of King Arthur and Queen Guenevere. Although I’ve read almost all the novels about Arthur, this is the first in which his heir is the main character. Merlin’s son, Shadoe, plays the role of the hero, and the sparks of attraction and antagonism between them light the way throughout the challenges they face together.
Most stories of the legendary king are steeped in magic and mysticism. Wisely, Wichman chose not to ignore that legacy, but instead incorporated the myths as the power of God working in His children. In contrast, she also shows clearly that Satan has the strength to help those who follow him.
Vivid description abounds amid the struggle of good vs. evil as Shadoe and Rayn work together to save the island. I look forward to Wichman’s future novels.

Once I started reading this book it was hard to put down. Linda's characters are very believable and the action keeps you wanting to read more. Her message of God's love comes through loud and clear. I heartily recommend this book to others and can't wait to see what else this writer produces.
